Touring the Costa Brava by motorhome is one of the best ways to discover it, but laundry piles up fast: beach towels, sheets, several days’ worth of clothes. Sooner or later, it’s time to wash.
Self-service is your best option on the road
Unlike a traditional laundry, a self-service launderette needs no booking and no dropping off your clothes the day before. You arrive, wash, and dry in an hour, then carry on your way. It’s the best fit for a trip with no fixed schedule.
In L’Escala, open every day
Safareig is at Avinguda de Montgó, 2 (L’Escala), open 365 days a year from 8 am to 10 pm. It has:
- Washing machines in several sizes and fast dryers.
- XL machines up to 30 kg for sleeping bags, blankets, or several loads at once.
- Payment by cash, card, or phone, plus free WiFi while you wait.
It’s a handy stop if you’re at the campsites around L’Escala or Sant Pere Pescador, or coming down from the Montgrí.
A tip for campers
Take the chance to wash everything at once in a large machine: it works out cheaper than several small loads, and you leave with your laundry dry and folded in a single stop. If you’re travelling with a sleeping bag or camping blankets, the XL leaves them as good as new.
